DVDs

The fruit of an extensive teaching and preaching ministry, Christopher Herbert has written a series of reflections on Christian art themes which are now being published in DVD format in association with SCM-Canterbury Press.

The first DVD, 'Seeing and Believing - praying with paintings of the life of Christ' was published in early 2008. It features ten of the most loved and well-known Christian art images, including Fra Angelico’s Annunciation and Hans Memling’s Christ Gives His Blessing.

Each image is accompanied by an original background commentary by the Bishop, and also a prayer/meditation. The material is ideally suited both to personal devotion and to group study.

Further DVDs on themes such as The Nativity and the Resurrection are planned. These will be publicised here and also on the SCM Canterbury website, from which the first DVD can be ordered now.
