Encounters was set up in 2008 to offer a unique service, providing
expert guided tours of the major London art galleries such
as the National Gallery and Tate Britain. The Rt. Revd. Dr
Christopher Herbert and the Revd. Dr Joan Crossley are your
hosts for a range of tours which, at your choice, can focus
on a specific artist, theme of period. Groups of between 2
and 24 can be accommodated, and bespoke programmes & specific
requests can be considered. Art Encounters has its own website

• An introduction to the Flemish masters: Jan van Eyck,
Rogier Van der Weyden, Hans Memling, etc.
• An introduction to some twentieth-century English
